My name is Jen and Ive known Steve since 2014 but we’ve lost touch in the last decade or so.
At the time I was in last in touch , what I remember of Steve is hun loving his family unconditionally ( from a distance ), cooking, fishing, and personal growth.
Steve was a kind and gentle person with an infectious laugh. I loved laughing with Steve.
I know Steve battled with health problems that are hard for some folks in this world to understand, and subsequently; it made it difficult for some people to continue to care for, or be around Steve.
I suppose I just want it to be known that Steve was not his health. Steve was a person with health problems. Problems we don’t have cures for and the remedies we do have; they don’t work for everyone..
I know that Steve wanted to get better, always has and did remiss several times in life. Steve fought hard to be well. The people around him who stuck around and cared ;despite the hard stuff -these folks are what made those remissions possible. Thank you for being there.
I do miss that he’s not here anymore and there is zero possibility to reach out and say, “ I know it’s been a while-let’s chat..what’s new?” ; his raspy assed laugh, his beat red face, and his ability to try and remain positive in tough situations. (when in a good place)
My heart goes out to Steve’s wife and families. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
Steve, You’re with them now and I know you’re tired.
