Mrs. Taylor had a massive impact and influence in sending me in an entirely different direction in my twisted and rebellious teenage life. I got involved with the wrong crowd and Mrs. Taylor truly believed in my sorry butt and kept telling me that I had a calling on my life. Of course, I thought she was hallucinating and delusional. I’m am now doing what I believe God wants me to do. So thankful that she spoke into my life and years she told me that she never stopped praying for me. JBW

I had THE most pivotal, life changing visit the summer of 1980 when my mom sent me to visit my Auntie Ruth over the summer for 1 month. So profoundly pivotal, it literally set my life in a different direction. (And those around me) It was all thanks to your mom, who introduced me to my first VBS where I learnt and memorized my first Bible verse, ever. I felt and experienced first hand the difference in your home. Hmmm, what could this difference be? I couldn’t put my finger on it? I asked questions. She answered. I asked more questions, you all answered. You get where I’m going with this? My Auntie Ruth patiently and lovingly led me to Jesus. She took me aside, just me and her and she helped me to pray the sinners prayer where I asked Jesus into my heart. My life was forever changed. Although my time was short in Nepean that summer, I learned a lot. I knew she loved me. I knew she was always praying for me. For that, I am eternally grateful.
You guys were so much fun to be around. I was sad to leave.
My faith has helped me through some extremely difficult times.
I send my deepest sympathies and condolences for the loss of your Mom. When I think of my Auntie Ruth, a smile always comes across my face and my heart is warmed with memories I have from that summer spent with her and her family. I was so blessed to have known her!

Greetings and blessings to all of my family friends. Nanny used to have fun with me on my visits asking me to identify her present grandchildren, and if by any miracle I got it correct, she would ask who mom and dad were. I never got it right. But it speaks volumes to the legacy of this Saintly lady.
At the lowest point in my life she threw open the doors of her home and her heart, to nurture and love my family into wholeness again. If there is a concierge in heaven it will be Nanny. I love you all my brethren. Thank you for sharing your mom and your lives with me. Norm W

Carol and I offer our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother. Our deepest sympathies and prayers for all the Taylor family.
Billy Graham once said, “I look forward to death with great anticipation” and “My home is in heaven”. One chapter in your mother’s life has closed and another chapter has started.
May you find peace, comfort, courage, and love during this trying time knowing one day you will see your mother again.

Mrs Taylor and her late husband Bill were central figures in my earliest memories of feeling welcomed and cared for by a church family. Ruth continued her faithful friendship for decades, even into the most recent years, at the beginning of the pandemic. With a warmth and positive outlook she raised the spirits of all who knew her.
Her last visit with my mother is one I fondly recall, as two old friends connected with a deep mutual admiration that was felt beyond words. As Mom’s dementia was advancing there was a deep connection and calming influence from Ruth’s visit. Somehow they could reminisce and talk as old friends. Her legacy of love towards others influenced our family in meaningful ways. Taking the time to bake and decorate a special birthday cake or consistently keeping abreast of all the family news, she loved others with intentional action.
She will be missed, but not missing - as she is with her Saviour, being absent from the body and present with the Lord.
Our love and prayers for the family in this time of loss,
Wafa (Sabbagh)Martin, for Insaf Sabbagh and family.

So many joyful memories, where does one start? Backyard Bible camp, Awanas, the pool, gatherings and celebrations of all kinds, being absorbed into the family. You start with love and Jesus - like Nanny did. Nanny was an extraordinary example of a true Proverbs 31 woman. Loved, appreciated, respected by countless people whose lives she touched, Nanny has created and left an amazing legacy for her family and anyone who knew her. Our love and prayers are with you all.
