Deepest sympathy to all of Gilles Children and Grandchildren and to his 3 sisters and the Martin family. How shocked and saddened I was to learn of his death. Spoke to him 2 years ago in Renfrew we had a good chat. I do not know his children but I do him remembering when we went to high school and when he played in the band at my dad's hotel ( Rheas Poisson) in Campbell's Bay . What wonderful times they were. S.aw him over the years when he and Laura Lee were together and in business. He was such a nice guy always willing to be of service I know this because when my sisters were going to school in Pembroke, not sure if he was working there but he would pick them up and go to his mothers place to change to play at the hotel then drive them to Campbell's Bay we never forgot his generosity. Such a great smile which will be missed. As the song says by the Eagles there is a Hole in the World tonight, God Speed and Bon Voyage Gilles tu vas toujours nous manqué. Sandra Poisson Kelly

We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Gilles' passing. His ever pleasant personality and positive can do attitude were examples for all to emulate. While an excellent tradesman, we also considered Gilles a true friend, always willing to go the extra mile to help. He will be greatly missed by many.
