To Marianne, Tony, Nino, sons and daughters-in-law, children and grand-children and extended family: I will always cherish the time I got to spend with Lovell. The Matijczyk family is thinking of you all during this time. Lovell to me was larger than life - if anyone asked me who I know that I believe lived life to the fullest she is one of the first people to come to my mind. Her incredible personality, her hysterical sense of humor, the fact that she never stopped learning and growing, have all been traits I very much aspire to. Lovell to me was the super fun second Grandmother next door when I was a kid, and I knew if my own grandmother was sick of me, Lovell was just a short bridge away! We baked and cooked together, and shared funny stories. Having her and Nino as well as the Lotman clan for dinner was so much fun, and something I very much looked forward to. When I was a flower girl at her daughter‘s wedding, I had a four-year-old hissy fit because I couldn’t wear a veil as well. Well in about 2 mins, Lovell had whipped up a cute pink veil with flowers for me to wear before the ceremony, so that I didn’t feel left out :-) In recent years she shared wonderful stories with me about my grandparents and her remorse at the loss of my Uncle Eugene. Reconnecting with her over these last few years has been a true joy, it felt like the “good all days again” I have no doubt that her and my Grandpa are up there ripping up the dance floor again ❤️ So much love to you all, you are in my thoughts. We are thinking of you all during this difficult time . Lovey was near and dear to our family . I am honored to have known her and and experienced her beautiful and hilarious approach to life and hear how much she loved her family ,especially all of her beautiful grandchildren . Listening to Lovey speak, you would get to know how she felt so blessed but at the same time realizing how special she was making you feel and how blessed you are just being in her presence and knowing her. She was truly one of a kind .
