Very sorry for the loss of Matilde she was a very lovely kind soul, her love for painting I steel remember my first time I went to the art class with her she prepared a kit for me with all the the things that I would need brushes pencil etc.

What a wonderful woman and light in our lives. Nonna was such a great example for others in her caring, love and compassion. A te cara Matilde non e mai facile dire good bye, ma la tua legacy Sara per sempre ricordata. Voglio ricordare la giornata trascorsa a Napoli di tre anni fa. Lei sorridente, gioiosa e socievole come sempre; nel momento in cui però entrammo a S.Chiara mi colpì la trasformazione del suo volto che diventò serio , attento, interessato a quanto Le veniva mostrato e narrato. So deeply sorry for your immense loss, Adriano. There are no words that could ease your pain at the moment. But may the love and support of your family and friends sustain you during this difficult time.
We worked together at Rogers, for Tele-30, when you were doing the Sports broadcast. I remember when we were taping the programs, only Matilde could turn your “tele-prompter”! She knew exactly how fast you would speak, and where you would take pauses. Always together, such an amazing couple.
Matilde was such a kind, genuine lady. We had become quite close these past years and used to text each other beautiful, uplifting, encouraging messages at least once or twice a week. I will miss you, Matilde. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for all the kindness and for all the joy you have given to everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing you. May you rest in peace.

It couldn't have been said better. Matilde, or "Millie" as she was known in the banking circle, was always smiling, happy, and helpful to everyone. In the 70's she and Adriano purchased one half of a semi-detached home and included my parents Eola and Tullio in the opportunity to buy the other half. The extended family was born. Matilde was such a huge support and friend to my parents, treating my mother as her own. I remember after I left home, Matilde was always there, to offer a chit chat, a kind ear, and a loving heart to my mom.
Millie gave me a resounding recommendation when I was just 17 which led to a 42 year career with RBC. She acted as a friend, boss, mentor, and coach. Anyone who had the opportunity to work with her had nothing but praise and kind words about her, and she received many awards and accolades for the high standard of excellence she brought to her job.
When she retired, I was surprised when she started painting. It was a talent I never knew she had and never knew she was passionate about. She participated in many art shows and sold much of her work. I was amazed with her artwork and her ability to open herself up to this gift.
Millie…..although we grew apart as my life evolved, you were always receptive and happy when we had the chance to “catch up”. You always told me you were my Big Sister, and that I could go to you about anything. I am shocked that you are no longer with us. If I could tell you in person, I would say Thank You for everything you did for me and my family. Thank you for your friendship and thank you for just being a great lady.
And now on to the next challenge.
