My heart aches for Carol, Paul, Cindy, Suz and the family. I cannot believe that uncle June is gone. It doesn’t feel real. His birthday is coming up March 1 the day of the funeral. I will choose not to be sad on that day, I will try not to be as I will celebrate your life and your birthday. I never really knew uncle June in my younger years because we lived in Newfoundland and uncle June was in Ottawa Ontario. I remember growing up as a child he always used to call my dad, ( his brother ) Marshall, And when dad got sick uncle June and the rest of the family came home and that was the second time I met uncle June.First time I was just oh gosh, young. I don’t even remember. We instantly got along, I felt like I’ve known him my whole life. I remember his laugh. His love of music and his love of the guitar. He reminded me so much of my dad and I loved that. I don’t have very many memories of being around uncle June, I remember when he came home when my dad was sick, the following year after in 1996 we went to Ottawa, and I do believe in 2003 I went to Ottawa again. But I have to say my memories I do have of uncle June are all fun, lots of laughs and smiles and love and music and guitars. He always kept in touch with me, always just a phone call away. It don’t seem real that I can’t pick up the phone and hear your laugh one more time. Here’s to Uncle Frank, aka June. As I said to my dad on the night of his funeral in 1995 as I was out on my patio step while uncle June was playing the guitar in the kitchen, I stood there in the rain and I said to my father as I will say to you I will hear you when the wind blows and I will feel you when it rains.
Love always and forever ❤️
