Obituary of Rolland Francis Tyo

AKA Ronnie, Rolly, Manny

Passed away peacefully on June 19, 2021 in his 84^th year. 

Born in Cornwall Ontario in 1937, he was the son of the late Benjamin Tyo and Beatrice Séguin. Beloved husband of the late Louise Fortier Tyo.  Amazing and cherished father to Suzanne (John Whiston), Richard (Andrea) and Mike. Proud Grandfather to Stephanie, Jessica, Kristine, Marushka, Benjamin, Vincent and Francis. Great Grandfather to Hailey and Harlyn. 

Brother to the late Rudolphe (Mickey), the late Irene and leaves behind his baby sister Linda as well as his sister-in-law Denise (Roger Gingras), nieces, nephews and many friends. 

Rolland, Manny, Ronnie, Rolly's sense of humor and devotion to his family and friends will be greatly missed. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing Nursing staff at Queensway Carleton Hospital for ensuring Rolly's stay at the hospital was as comfortable and worry free as can be. 

A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.. A Celebration of Rolly’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers or donations, a simple act of kindness is the best way to honour our Father. Treat a loved one to lunch at a local restaurant, bring homemade or locally bought baked goods to an elderly neighbour, your parents, daughter, son etc… Help someone in need, or simply Smile and Enjoy an shot of Fireball in his honour.

Rolly transitioned with the Light on the eve of the summer solstice - when more light enters the Northern Hemisphere. Some see this as a special and spiritual time. And this reminds me of Rolly's own beautiful light that he shared with everyone.
