Obituary of Usha Harwalkar

Peacefully in her 86^th year on February 24, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Venktesh Rangrao Harwalkar for 62 years.  Loving mother of Kalpana (David) and Sangeeta (Andre).  Adoring and proud Ajji to Maya, Sonia and Max. She is survived by her siblings Sudha, Shashikant and Shreekant (India) and leaves behind many beloved friends and relatives.  Usha had a quiet strength and resilience which was evident from her early days in North America and all through her life in Canada.  She always took pleasure in the happiness of others and had many treasured friendships over the years, especially in Ottawa where she and Venktesh made a loving home for their family.  Everyone was welcomed with a big heart, hospitality, good food and enthusiasm.  She was most happy being with her family and friends, listening to classical music and taking long walks outdoors.  Those who knew her feel blessed to have known her and she will be missed deeply.  She was always ready to help others and to give advice. We wish her peace and love always. Private cremation services will be arranged by the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel.  Donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated
