Dear Kalpana and Sangeeta, you were babies when our families first got to know each other. We've seen the cuteness that you exuded as little children and how your parents so doted on you. The one thing that stands out to me about both Venkatesh Uncle and Usha Aunty was their presence in our circles as a happy, bonded, caring family. They were both lively and fun. Usha Aunty in particular had a quick wit and often made jibes at my Dad, all in good humour. Usha Aunty was a very giving person, sincere and solid to the core. You could rely on her; I know my Mom did.
I will really miss them and am so glad that I met them at the iconic 13 Varley about four summers ago. They were so happy to see us and us them.
You are so very much in my thoughts, even though I have not been in touch.
Please know your parents loved you both very very much and will continue to look out for you from the skies, heavens and universe above.
Take care,
Much love,
Sarita (Ritu Sanwal)

Dear Kalpana, Sangeeta and Families,
Mrs Harwalkar was a very dear and close friend of my mom (Mrs Vijaya Parulekar) and will be sorely missed by her.
Mr and Mrs Harwalkar were my parent's closest and first friends in Ottawa and provided much needed help in navigating the ins and outs of where to buy what in Ottawa.
My Mom still remembers how excited she was to hear fellow marathi speakers in their chance meeting in a grocery store in 1967.
That was the start of a very long and treasured friendship.
Our sincerest condolences to your family.
Parulekar family.

I remember usha auntie fondly and uncle as well. We left Kanata in 1978 but my growing up years were spent with the them and kalpana and sangeeta — mud pies in the backyard, marrying off barbie and ken and many more fond memories. Their home was the gathering place and our parents kept up their close friendship over the years. I also chatted with usha auntie many times when she was looking for ai. A wonderful caring person with a smile for everyone. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
Kalpana, sangeeta and families-our heartfelt condolences. Love madhavi

I remember Usha vividly from the time Kalpana was in nursery school with one of my sons....yhink it was Doug or Michael . I would pick up Kalpana in the morning to drive her along with us to the nursery school in the Beaverbrook Plaza.
Over the years the children grew older , but I always enjoyed meeting Usha in the Beaverbrook community & we shared news of our growing & later grown children. Usha was a lovely caring woman with whom I enjoyed many brief encounters over the years.
To Kalpana & Sangeeta, I offer you my deepest condolences & share in your loss. Occasionally I would run into you, Kalpana, & wonder if you are still living around here now. I am in a Kanata Apt & still enjoying the area. Judy Laughton
