Maria Di Nardo

Obituary of Maria Di Nardo

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria DiNardo (née Marrongelli), after a long battle with Parkinsons on January 26th, 2025, at the age of 86.

She is survived by her devoted husband Rocco DiNardo of 67 years. Loving mother of Pasquale (Jackie), Bruno (Brenda), Ettore (Tracey) and Marco. Proud nonna to Brittany (Zachary), Matthew (Harriet), Kayla (Matthew), Olivia (Stefan), Derek (Rachel), Dana, Connor, Angelia and Massimo. Great grandmother to Bennett, Jack, Camille, Miles, Dean and Adelaide. Pre deceased by her parents Pasquale and Rosa, she was a dear sister to Raffaele, Donato, Carmine, Filiberto, Antonietta and sister-in-law and aunt to many in Canada and Italy.

Born in Rapino Italy, Maria came to Canada in 1958 to build a new life and start her family. Known for her selfless demeanor, kindness, passion for her family and her ability to touch everyone around her with her warmth and home-cooked Italian meals.

The DiNardo family would like to thank the considerate staff at St Vincent for the compassion and care they provided to Maria.

Special thanks also to Chloe for her tireless home care support of Maria over the last few years.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Bruyere Foundation or the Parkinson Society.
