Obituary of Kenneth Gordon Cowell
It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Kenny, a loving Husband, a devoted Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather on January 22, 2025 in his 85th year. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Rita Cowell and 7 siblings. Kenny passed away peacefully surrounded by his Wife, 2 children, Son-In-Law and 3 Grandchildren.
Kenny brought such joy, love, laughter and happiness to us all. He was a dearly beloved Husband to Ann, with whom he shared 63 beautiful years of marriage, filled with love and laughter. They held a strong support for each other and loved spending every minute together. He leaves us with countless cherished memories.
Kenny was a dedicated Father to Steve (the late Patti-Ann) and Cheryl (Robert) a role he embraced with love, support, and involvement in activities such as coaching Steve’s hockey team and Cheryl’s baseball team, camping trips, and much, much more. Kenny guided his family with strength and humility, teaching them the values of kindness, honesty, and a great work ethic.
Kenny was also a Grandfather of three to Casey (Mike), Matthew, and Eryn (Taj). He was the best ‘Pops’. He fostered a very close relationship with each of them. They loved spending every moment with him and asking him all sorts of question about his life and seeking his advice. He was also blessed to be a Great-Grandfather to Mason (7) and Zachary (4) whom he would lovingly call his ‘little Schmucks’. The boys always got a kick out of that.
He was a quiet man, a man of few words and he leaves a big hole in our hearts and in our lives.
