Obituary of David Alexander Dawson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a cherished son, brother, and nephew.

Formerly of Ottawa, ON, David passed away on October 26, 2024, in Edmonton, AB.

David is survived by his mother, Catherine Egan, and his sister, Jennifer Dawson. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Alexander Dawson (d. 2020).

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, at 1:00pm at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa, ON. A reception with light refreshments will take place following the graveside service at the Pinecrest Reception Center.

David loved hockey. A game which he passionately played throughout his pre-teen and teen years and was an avid fan of the NHL throughout his lifetime. Friends made during this time are still friends today and he will be sorely missed by them, as well as by relatives on the Egan and Dawson sides.
