Obituary of Betty Margaret Young

May 14, 1930 – December 13, 2024

Betty passed away peacefully with her nieces Kim, Debbie, Kathy and Wendy at her side.  Betty was a devoted daughter, loving sister and cherished aunt and great aunt.  She is predeceased by her parents Edith and Norman, by siblings Thelma (Jack), Claude (Loretta), Beverly (Marilyn), Jimmy (Eileen), Royden (Margie), Mabel, Sybil, Joan (Charlie), Walter and Eric.  They say it takes a village to raise a child…Betty was our ‘village’ and she will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and dear family friend Barbie. 

A private family Celebration of Life will be hosted at the Pinecrest Reception Centre 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2-4p.m. The family is very appreciative of all the care and support from the staff of Stoneridge Manor and special thanks to Dr. Drake for his compassion throughout the years.
