Bruce Roy posted a condolence

There are many adjectives to describe Marcheta - independent, capable, loving, thoughtful, feisty and adventurous to name a few. She was a wonderful and interesting partner for over 20 years to Ken Roy - enjoying life to the fullest in Ottawa and in Florida. Marcheta was always willing to roll up her sleeves and take on new challenges, including taking a power squadron course and learning to sail and act as "First Mate" aboard the "Snow Queen." She was a wonderful grandmother figure to our Matthew and Jackson, always interested in everyone's life and welfare, and part of many Christmas and birthday celebrations and brunch outings to Cora's.
We love and will miss her greatly. Our deepest condolences to the family.
Bruce, Kerry, Matthew and Jackson Roy
