Obituary of Gertrude Lenhart (nee Lang)

It is with heavy hearts that her family wishes to announce the passing of Gertrude on Sunday, October 6th at Island View Retirement home in Arnprior, Ontario at the age of 93. Gertrude was predeceased by her husband of 60 years (Roman), survived by her daughters Heidie (Michel) and Monica (Rick), grandchildren Christian (Kristin), Felix and Stephanie, and great granddaughter Charlotte. Gertrude was born in Munich, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1957, where she became a proud citizen.

She was a very kind, generous, hard working lady, who knew her own mind. Gertrude was a devoted mother, an accomplished cook, baker, seamstress, gardener, and artist. She lived life on her own terms and departed the same way. She will be dearly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Fitzsimon, her beloved PSW Shannon (Paramed) and palliative nurse Haley (Bayshore), who helped her so lovingly on her last journey.

A private family service and burial was held at Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa
