Obituary of Marylin Clarke
Marylin Sheila Clarke (Stengele) of Ottawa died peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on August 24, 2024, aged 54. She is survived by her husband Fritz Clarke, their children Lucas, Yasmeen and Joshua, her father Gerold Stengele, her sister Sandra with husband Harry and sons Liam and Aaron, her parents-in-law Fitz and Ida Clarke and her sisters-in-law Janet, Patricia, Patsy and brother-in-law Bruce.
Marylin is remembered fondly by her beloved husband, her adored children, the other members of her family and many friends. Wherever she went she brought a caring spirit with her. She had a special place in her heart for the pre-school children with autism she worked with and enjoyed seeing them blossom. And she was known for her kindness and empathy, her devotion to her faith and her family, as well as her love for dancing. Her memory will live on in the many stories shared by those who loved her. She will be sorely missed and forever cherished.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Bayshore Healthcare team, especially Danielle, Emily and Ashley, for their support and care, to the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital and the Community Palliative Medicine Associates.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation held at
St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 971 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa, on Saturday, September 7 at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.
