Our family grieves over the loss of our dear Aunt Nellie, “Nanny” as we liked to call her. She was my most favourite aunt. She and my mother were very close. I remember growing up Aunt Nellie and my cousin would often walk over the bridge to come visit us with my cousin Tanya. Tanya and I became the best of friends. I never missed calling Aunt Nellie for her birthday, and if I forgot she would get mad lol. Every time I saw or her talked to her I would say “Hi my favourite Aunty” and she would say “Hi my favourite niece”. I loved her like a second mother. While she’s been taken from us physically, her spirit lives on in each and every person who had the chance to know her. She was dynamite and will be missed. Until we meet again Aunty, I love you.
