Obituary of Janet Elizabeth Munch (Nee Holland)

Passed peacefully away from Alzheimer’s on Thursday April 4th ,2024 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Michael and mother of Andrew (Karyn) and Christopher (Courteney). Proud grandmother of Tristan, Allison, Lorelei, Bastian, and Avery. Dear sister of Carol Holland.  Predeceased by parents Fred and Theresa Holland, sister Alma (John Major) and brother Albert (Marie Holland).

Janet was born in St. John’s where she studied Social Work at Memorial University. After taking time off to raise her boys Janet re-entered the work force and attended Algonquin College to become an ESL teacher. Janet loved teaching and the people she met along the way.

Thanks are extended to the staff of Forest Valley Terrace for their care of Janet and to the doctors and staff of 4A Monfort Hospital for the kindness and care during Janet’s final days.

A visitation will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road on Thursday, April 25th from 1:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00PM. 

In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to the Dementia Society in Janet’s name.
