Obituary of Leo de Laplante

Leo passed away peacefully at Peter D. Clark LTC home in Nepean, ON on March 8, 2024 at the age of 95. A lifelong sports fan and card player, avid cook, gardener and pet lover.

Husband of 56 years to the late Sallie deLaplante. Father to his five children: Kirk (Nancy), Cheryl (Chris), Lori (Dan), Lisa (Bill) and Kevin (Brenda). Grandfather to Brandon, Ashley, Logan, Bryan, Hannah, Liam, Connor, Brianna and David. Great-grandfather to Madison, Jakub, Finn and Summer. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Teresa, and his five siblings: Gordon (Jean), Gerard (Nellie), Rita (Dee), Cecelia (Carl) and Terri (Roy). 

A gracious thank you to the staff at Peter D. Clark for their dedicated and compassionate care of Leo during his final months.

 Visitation will be held at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 from 11am -1pm followed by a memorial service in the Pinecrest chapel. A reception will follow.
