Dear Larry and Lea....words are not adequate to express the depth of sadness I feel right now. My heart is breaking for both of you and I wish we could somehow go back in time and have a different outcome. Paulette was one of those incredibly beautiful people that walked around shining her spotlight of sunshine on everyone in her path. This woman radiated warmth, love, empathy and an internal beauty that always amazed me. How lucky was my family and I that you moved into the house across from us in Orleans so many years ago.
Our friendship grew over time....your family became my family and my family became yours. Paulette was my bestie..my soul sister, my confidante and another mother to both Kayleigh and Rosa. I will miss her so much, this amazing, gorgeous, loving, kind human being. I am eternally grateful for every laugh, every tear, every hug and every shared minute with her.❤️

Mark & I met the Cadman's when they moved next door to us in Maryland. Right away we knew that we would all be the best of friends. Paulette was absolutely everything you would want in a neighbor/friend/sister figure - loving, compassionate, kind, considerate and so darn funny. Larry was like another brother to Mark - they were silly together but could also spend hours on the front porch just talking. We had just started our family and they were patient and loving with Alex, and showed us how to be wonderful parents through their interactions with Mitchell & Lea, Our trip to Cancun with Larry & Paulette was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! So much laughter, good food and tequila ;)
Paulette's life cannot be summed up on the pages of this book, but I would like to try. She was an incredible mother. a loving wife, a terrific friend. Most of all, I will remember her laugh, and how every now and then we would hear it through the open window when we were watching the same tv show. Paulette will be missed but ALWAYS remembered.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to Larry and Paulette’s family. I first met Paulette in Inuvik back in 1982. I just remember how she always was so positive and hopeful no matter what was happening in her life. I remember a heart to heart talk her and I had recently about how the grieving she experienced over the loss of her son, brought her and Larry so closer together and I immediately thought at time that was the true Paulette putting a positive spin under such tragic circumstances. To quote “A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved.” RIP Paulette, you will be missed dearly.

Sending deepest condolences at this difficult time.
Paulette was a great encourager to me and so many other bereaved parents. I remember the first event I came to by Compassionate Friends was the Candle lighting shortly after my daughter passed. She and Larry made me feel so welcomed and felt I was among friends.

I'm really sad about Paulette's passing. Although we didn't see each other since a very long time we always kept in touch. She was like an older sister to me when she lived with my family in shanon park. We shared our bedroom the short time she lived with us. I used to sleep walk and scared her one night we laughed about this a while ago, she stilled remembered this. I'm sending you all hugs. She was so kind and loving xxx

I’ve been trying to process that fact that Paulette has left his world. It’s taken me a few days to try and find the words to express how heartbroken I am at her sudden loss. I was friends with both Larry and Paulette in our High School years at Shannon Park/Wallis Heights. I have so many happy memories of them both, especially Paulette and her Sisters. Paulette taught me how to drink…not very well I might add. I remember many nights staying at her house because we would be attending a party under age. I was living in Sydney when Paulette and Larry were getting married. I told her I couldn’t make it because I intended on surprising her. I remember walking into the Rec Centre when they were decorating and the genuine look of surprise and happiness to see me and that beautiful smile I was always greeted with and the big hug. She was the best hugger. No matter how much time passed she always greeted me with the same beautiful smile, hug and genuine happiness to see me, and I her. I can’t believe I won’t experience those moments again.
Larry, my heart breaks for you and your daughter. Having lost my husband suddenly three years ago I know something of the pain and anguish you are going through. Know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Emotions come like waves and unfortunately you have to ride them out. Please know that I am here for you if you ever need a shoulder to cry on or someone to laugh and cry at the memories. My love to you and family.

Our hearts were broken upon hearing the news of the unexpected loss of our dear sweet cousin Paulette.
We remember her as a kind spirited, gentle soul filled with light. Always smiling, always generous with her love & compassion & most of all never ever judgemental of others.
Even though we have lost touch over the years, memories of all of us piled up & laughing on the couch in the basement in Shannon Park always brings a smile to our faces. The 2 PMQ families...kindred spirits.
To Larry, I will always remember how thrilled our Mother Aunt Emmie & I were to be guests at your wedding to bear witness to an obvious blessed union.
We would give anything to be with you on the 19th to celebrate Paulette's beautiful life. Instead we will be keeping you all close in our hearts.
To Cindy, Donna & Diane, a second circle of love will be waiting for you in Nova Scotia.
To Lea, we hope to meet you someday. Please know that we understand & feel your pain when it comes to losing your Mom.
May you all find peace & comfort in knowing Paulette was such a bright light in this world.
With love & more, cousins Jackie, Patrick & Nicole

Paulette and I were friends very young at a military base for families in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. We seen each other once as Mom's lBirthfay celebration at the Shop Victory later in life but kept in touch over social media. Although living in different Provinces as Grammas, she was the type of friend that made you feel supported and loved. I could tell how beautiful a person she was and grew to be. She had a way with words and always saying the most positive things, even during her life tragedies such as loosing her son Mitch. It makes me feel comfort that he was waiting for her. Rest now Paulette, you will be missed by EVERYONE that ever or had the blessing of having her as a member of her family. We will miss you. ❤️

A bright light has been lost, and I am so sorry. I have so many great memories of our friendship from Shannon Park/Wallis Heights. Paulette and I spent a lot of our high school days together … in and out of each other’s homes in those days when everything seems so life changing and important. We spent a lot of time laughing together which, during the angst of teen years, is a great memory to have of a friend. Whenever we would reconnect it was like no time had passed. I am so sorry for your earthly loss and pray that the joy she brought to you will outweigh the profound sorrow as you move through the times to come.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of my friend Paulette. We had a lot of great times at the Uplands Credit Union and NDMC Credit Union. Being friends and confidants outside the workplace was memorable beyond words. She always made me laugh and kept me going when I was going through a rough patch.
Time flies. It just seems like yesterday. I can still hear her distinctive laugh.
