Obituary of Beryl Hunter

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Beryl Maxine Hunter. She died peacefully on February 4, 2024 at the age of 86. She will be greatly missed by her older brother Donald (the late Marion), her younger brother Neil (Bonnie) and her sister Lynn Morrison (Gerald). She will also be missed by her seven nieces and nephews: Gordon Hunter (Beth), Barbara Cridland (Jeff), Patricia Hunter (Jonathan Pearce), Philip Hunter (Julia Gardiner), Cheryl Letourneau (Jamie), Allan Morrison (Yvonne) and Karen Idzik and numerous grand nieces and nephews comprising the next generation.

Beryl was a librarian by profession serving in libraries in Toronto, Nepean, Ottawa and Library and Archives Canada. She was a prolific traveler and loved to visit countries all around the world and always had wonderful stories to tell about her many travels.

She will also be missed by her many friends in Toronto, Ottawa, and especially in Unitarian House where she was a longtime resident. She was a member of the Unitarian Church of Ottawa where a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
