The loss of a mother is such a great loss that others cannot fill.
Thea was a beautiful and smart woman, who always inspired everyone with a golden heart, kept her family close and was never far apart. Thea shared her love and her kindness with everyone near and far. I will always cherish the wonderful memories of you, Thea.
How do I begin to describe the incredible, generous person who was not just my Thea but like a second mom. I can go on about her impeccable cooking and famous Spanakopita that was always ready whenever I visited or was it the amazing advice, she provided me with throughout my life. I was fortunate and lucky to have her come into my life after I was born, she adored me and I the same. She was always there for me and doing everything for me when I was young. Because she was much younger than my mom there was a connection that is hard to describe and that I am grateful for. What person goes on her honeymoon and returns with a full-size pedal car for her nephew, Thea does, who was there to take me to the ER when I fell in skate practice and comforted me, who was there to push me to do better in school when I was lazy only, she could in her own unique way. Even in adult hood she was always giving me advice and someone I could talk to without judgement.
Thank you for always being there and always having my back, thank you for being at my wedding, my daughter’s wedding and every other event in my life and being a single child thank you for the biggest gift of giving me my three beautiful cousins that were the sisters I never had.
Everyday day I will miss you more and more, yours is an example of an idyllic life to lead, you were always there for your family and for me whenever we needed you. We will always love you, Thea, and words cannot explain how I feel that now you are no longer with us, but I am comforted that you are still looking down at us and smiling.
May her memory be eternal
