We are going to miss her but we know, based on the eternal Word of God and the finished work of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, that she is in His peaceful presence now awaiting the promise of the glorious resurrection.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Sue’s family in this difficult time. To Amira and her family and to Nada. Also to her sister and relatives as well.
I met Sue years ago at Greenbank Baptist Church. Also had lunch with the girls at Heidi’s, at Doris’ place and at Sue’s place. Together, we gathered for a meal, fellowship and sharing, It was a very special time.
We gathered with Joy which is now deceased as well, with Doris also now deceased, with Sue, Heidi, Clara, Jenny, Nambura and myself.
Sue was always a stong woman, caring and very kind. I will never forget her for all the nice times we had together with our little group.
She has certainly helped countless of Christians and I’m sure will be fondly remembered by much people.
Now she is with the Lord, in eternity. And we shall see her again one day in the Kingdom of God! Till then my Friend and Sister in the Lord!
With thankfulness to God for the years we had with her. Now we must say goodbye! Till then!

Soheir was a life long faithful friend, a born encourager and a true giver. She loved spending time with family and friends. She particularly cherished those precious times when she delved into God's word. She faithfully prayed for others.
As a giver, she freely offered her time, her resources and her home to anyone, at anytime, as long as there was a need.
Our friendship started while attending the Cairo Youth Fellowship.
Later, in Canada, Soheir and Ramses witnessed and attended our wedding which took place in Montreal in 1967.
For the past several years, Sue and I participated in weekly Coffeebreak Bible Studies, both in person and online. She will be sorely missed by all those ladies.
Prior to that we had also participated together in presenting Arabic Alpha in a couple of Ottawa churches.
She was most faithful about keeping in touch with friends, near and far.
She enjoyed music, cherished the spoken word, especially hymns, and took pride in playing her accordion.
Francois and I will miss Sue. We were pleased to have met her only a couple of days before her passing. Thus we will remember her, as her usual jovial, warm person, always enjoying a good laugh and offering an encouraging word.
Soheir has left us with a rich legacy of lessons in true caring, real generosity and selfless giving.
May God comfort all her loved ones and friends.

There are no words that can express the depth of sorrow I feel for losing madame Soheir.
Soheir has made a difference in so many lives. I'm grateful I got the chance with my family to see her on January 1st and spent a couple of hours with her chatting and laughing, I'm glad that we visited her and said goodbye. They don’t make people like Sue anymore, period! She possessed a rarest combination of kindness, strength, generosity, wisdom, deep faith and an extraordinary sense of humour! But above all - love, compassion and deep devotion for everyone and everything surrounding her. Everything she did was with deep passion and dedication. I will never forget how devoted she was to her friend - my mom (Dr. Chen) - when she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Together with her dear family - Ameera, Ramses and Steve - she kept vigil almost every day by my mom’s hospital bed. She even held her hand when she took her last breath. I simply wouldn’t have made it, if it wasn’t for Sue and Ramses. Ameera, please, know, even though your dearest Mom is not physically here, her unconditional love for you and Nada, together with her contagious spirit and energy, will ALWAYS surround you, wherever you are.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Soheir Rassem Girgis. It was my great honour to get to know her and her family ( Ramses, Mimo, Hoda, Faisal) while studying in Ottawa.. I was very close to her late brother Mamdouh who died far too young. I remember a phone call with Sue shortly after her brothers passing and she told me that she was greatly comforted by his embracing his Faith. Soheir, a woman of solid Faith, love, and great generosity, a dear servant of the Eternal One. She has surely returned home

Teta Sue was always in our hearts!
From growing up being with her, living there with Ken and my girls when my Dad was sick and eventually died, the endless conversations, encouragement, and prayers.
Time on the beach in Florida and sharing her precious family with us was always something we remember.
The love she had for Kenzie and Nora was endless and always wanting to do what she could to make them excel at what they wanted to achieve.
My Mom, Carole Dean, has so many memories of their adventures together. The friendship they share is endless and timeless. If you ask my mom a favourite memory she can’t chose one. Sue will forever be held as the best friend, support and prayer partner.
The last call I had with Sue she was relieved to know my mom was going to be with family and safe. Casa Sue was open for us anytime we needed somewhere to stay.
Sue you are in our hearts, our memories and when we think of family you and your family is always there.
We love you all and will forever be blessed by your memory.
