Obituary of Ronald Cormack

Ron Cormack passed away peacefully in the loving company of his devoted and cherished partner Joy, on Friday December 8, 2023. Father to Michael (Katelynn), Ashlie (Matthew), lifelong friend to Andrée, and beloved "Grandpa-Bear" to Elliot, Levi, William, Annette, Jordan, Margot, Coralie, and Caspar. Predeceased by his parents Alastair and Evelyn, as well as his brother Stanley.

Born in Alberta in 1952, Ron came to Ontario in his teens where he pursued his studies at Canadore College before embarking on a rewarding and successful career spanning over four decades as a professor in Broadcasting Television at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Although, Ron had been retired for several years, his face never failed to light up when discussing broadcasting, even in his final conversations with Michael and Ashlie shortly before his passing.

Ron spent every available opportunity at the treasured family cottage where he could be found sitting in his favorite chair overlooking the beautiful lake while remembering the many wonderful memories shared with friends and family over the years.
Ron's family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Haddad and the Radiation Oncology team at The Ottawa Hospital and Dr. Claire Dyason and Stephanie King the Palliative Care Team for their care, professionalism, and kindness.

Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday January 6th, at 1:00pm at Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON.
