Obituary of Marilyn Derouin (nee Welk)

Peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, with her family by her side.  Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Derouin. Loved mother of Stephanie Redmond (Greg), Shelby and Michael. Cherished grandmother of Meg, Charlie, Ally, Jake, Julia, Tommy, and Sam. Dear sister of Sharon Harrison (Gordon), and Dear Aunt of Mark Brumm (Lisa), Emily (Derek), and Sarah. Also lovingly remembered by dear friends Hugh & Linda Redmond. 

Marilyn will be deeply missed by her special friends, Annie Hamilton and Sharon Harris, as well as her cherished fellow teacher friends. 

The family would like to extend many thanks to  the staff of The Grove in Arnprior (Arnprior Regional Health) for all of their care, compassion and kindness.   

A private family service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023. Donations in memory of Marilyn can be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
