Obituary of Elizabeth Theresa Picard (nee McKennirey)

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Theresa Picard (nee McKennirey), a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. Beth, as she was affectionately known, left this world on November 19, 2023 at age 83. Beth was born on February 15, 1940 was the daughter of Michael and Eileen McKennirey and sister to Micheal (Antoinette), Mary (David), Marjorie and Peter (Lillianne). On the Seventh of October 1961, Beth married her love, Jacques (Jack) Emanuel Picard. As a loving and devoted mother of Three Boys, Stephen (Sonya), Brian (Marlene), David (Kim), her family blossomed to 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Beth with Jack shared her love with many neighbors and friends, whether at home or at her cottage, her door and heart was always open to all. She will also be remembered for her work in the Church, RCIA, participation in ‘The Upper Room’, her paintings, her wisdom and her faith.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 44 Rothesay Drive, Kanata on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 11am followed by a reception.
