Obituary of Alan "Big Al" Frederick Sim

Alan "Big Al" Frederick Sim passed away on July 2, in his hometown of Ottawa, at 68. Alan had a kind heart and was a friend to many. He will be remembered for his generosity, witty sense of humour, and his love for the game of golf, where he came up aces, having scored a hole-in-one.

Alan will be deeply missed by his daughter Jennifer (Fredéric) and cherished grandson Anthony, his brother David (Maureen) and nephews Graham (Sophia) and Ian (Christina). Alan was preceded in death by his loving parents, Stanley and Maureen.

The family especially appreciates the caring help of special friends Bob and Judy Barr.

A memorial to honour Alan's life will take place this autumn at Pinecrest Cemetery, with details to be shared with family and friends at a later time.
