Obituary of Leslie Poupore

Suddenly, on August 18, 2023, a wonderful man left us too soon. Les will be lovingly remembered by his children Jessica and Brendan, son-in-law David, and grandsons, Arthur and Lachlan. They take comfort that he joins his late wife and best friend of 35 years, Cecilia Ryan. Cherished son of Jean & Melville Poupore. Beloved brother to Lois (Peter), Myles (Dale), Paul, and Andrew (Connie), brother-in-law and friend to Joe & Gerard (Sheila). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Son-in-law to Agnes & Bert Ryan. Trained in Business (University of Ottawa), he later completed his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. He held management positions at Industry Canada, Health Canada, and Natural Resources Canada, with career highlights in project management and IT services. Over the past 25 years, many summer and Christmas memories were made at the cottage in Calabogie, a special retreat where family and friends were always invited to share good food, music and company. Les will be remembered as a proud and loving father, generous friend, and family man. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, on Friday September 8th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Les's name may be made to OrKidstra.
