My sympathies to the Capretta family. Joe was a kind man, I enjoyed our chats about the old country and our families. On occasion, both he and Maria would bring pizzelle for our visits. A reminder of home for me. Whether it was a little biscotto or chocolate, after she passed, Joe carried on with this gesture of kindness. Just a little something in the day to honour Maria. He spoke of her often, and missed her much. They are reunited again.

To all of the Capretta family our thoughts are with you. We loved uncle Joe and have many fond memories of family get together at Huron and especially the Sunday family picnics at Vincent Massey. Our deepest condolences to the whole family on the passing of Joe Capretta. He will be missed. We lived beside Joe and Maria for a number of years in Manordale and they were wonderful neighbours and friends. We went back to visit them many times after moving away.
