Obituary of Carole Tsoukanas
Carole Tsoukanas (nee Sampson), aged 74, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the General Campus of The Ottawa Hospital after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Carole was born in Montreal, Quebec to Michael and Venetia (Tsibukas) and was the youngest of their six children. In May 1972, she married her soulmate, Elias, in Montreal; and later they welcomed two children, Michael, and Katherine. They eventually settled in Nepean in 1988, where Carole worked as a program coordinator for the Ottawa Carleton District School Board until her retirement.
Carole enjoyed sharing her life with her many friends and travelling abroad with her beloved husband. She loved spending time with her family, whether it was celebrating birthdays, playing board games, or going for walks in the woods. She truly enjoyed her people.
Carole made those close to her feel loved and cared for. She was interested in what people thought and stayed close with the many friends she met over the years. Carole will be remembered as loving, warm, vibrant, and strong by all of those who were fortunate to know her.
Carole is survived by her adoring husband, Elias, son Michael (Christina), daughter Katherine (Brian), and her treasured grandchildren, Anneka, Maya, Jack, and Elliot.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Carole's Life, on Friday June 16, 2023, at Cole Funeral Services & Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Everyone is welcome to visit anytime between 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carole's memory can be made to Myeloma Canada
