Our deepest sympathies to your family during this difficult time.
Uncle Bun always made an effort to call my father and see how he was doing. He was always kind, friendly and warm hearted.
We so appreciated his kindness towards my father and our family. He will greatly missed.
Sending You Much Love & Strength,
Bing Lin and Yee Har Wong & family

I have many lovely memories of Mr. Wong as he was a big part of the family and my youth. He was always kind, funny, modest, and offering sage advice. Also, everything he made was so delicious! He tried teaching me cooking and baking techniques, but alas, I was more interested in our conversations and enjoying his delectable dishes. I was able to learn some knife-skills, an example of his generosity and patience with me. I was fortunate to see him last summer and he was his usual wonderful self while we reminisced about life in Ottawa. I will miss him dearly and he remains in my heart.

Mr. Wong (aka Wong Buck) was a wonderful, patient, and hard-working person as our head chef of 20 years. He was an integral part of the success of Wong’s Palace when we opened in 1978.
Our family remembers him fondly as he was part of our lives for many decades when he and his wife were in Ottawa. He was always in good spirits, kind and wise. As an avid gardener, he also generously shared many useful tips in growing bitter melon. We were lucky to spend time with him over the years when he was in Toronto. Mr. Wong was a great man and we will miss him deeply.

Mr. Wong was an amazing, talented, generous, funny and hardworking person. He was part of our family for many generations, from our teens to adulthood. I have many fond memories of Mr. Wong, laughing and joking around with him while making almond cookies he provided many tips on how to make and prepare a variety of delicious dishes. Mr. Wong always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone. I am forever grateful to have had him in my life. He will be greatly missed.

Yuen Bun Wong was our Head Chef at Wong's Palace Restaurant for close to 20 years and he played a large role in the success of the restaurant. The kitchen was his domain and the media once filmed him preparing and cooking one of our most popular dishes, the House Shrimp Special.
I would call him Wong Buck and then the teasing would begin: Stop eating the profits! Don't you have anything better to do? When are you going to get married? What are you going to do with all your wealth? And on it went....
After his retirement, we continued to keep in touch. He was a humble and great man, as well as a dear friend.
