Obituary of Elias Papagiannopoulos

Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of the late Alexandra. Loving father to Fotini (Alonso) and Constantinos (Emma). Cherished Pappou to Ilio.

Predeceased by his parents Constantinos and Fotini in Greece. Brother of Gianni and the late Eleni (Andreas) in Greece. Son-in-law to Rodanthi (late Constantinos). Brother-in-law to Mary (Terry) and Tom in Ottawa. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends in Ottawa and Greece.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday May 11 from 4-7 pm with Trisagion Prayer at 6:30 pm at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church (1315 Prince of Wales Dr.) and again on May 12 from 10:30-11:30 am, with Funeral Service at 11:30am. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, will follow.

In memory of Elias, and in lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church.
