Dear Maria, Adam and Amanda,
I was so sad to read your father, Ed's obituary in the Globe and Mail this morning. As you know, he and my late father, Dan Harris, were the best of friends. I will always remember dancing with your dad at my wedding and his great advice to me when I was a young teenager: Always work to excel at one thing that will define you. He was telling me about being a feather weight boxer in university, which I thought was the coolest.
I will miss his vitality and great sense of humor. You were blessed to have him as a dad - and he was lucky to have you looking after him especially the last few years.
My husband (also named Ed) and I have made a donation to the Canadian Red Cross in his honor.
