Audrey, Elizabeth just told me the sad news about your mother. I am so sorry to learn that she has passed. She was a very sweet and kind woman. All the memories I have of tia Adelita are very beautiful and very special. Memories such as the weekends when she and tío Chepe would go to my parents' house in El Salvador for family gatherings. We enjoyed listening to the guitar, marimba , and very delicious food, and we cannot forget about the dances to the rhythm of that music.
Tia Adelita always stood out for having a beautiful character, her beautiful smile, and her good humor. We call her tia Adelita with so much love and respect because that's what my tío Chepe used to call her.
We now celebrate her life together with tío Chepe. They will always live in our hearts
