Obituary of Lynne Anne Dorward

On January 28, 2023, Lynne Anne Dorward of Ottawa, Ontario, died peacefully at the age of 67, exactly three weeks after the passing of her late husband Alan.

She will be lovingly by remembered her children Ian (Tida Tim) and Alex (Tao Holland); grandchild Maggie; furgrandchild Bane; father Douglas (Joan) Kincaid, and her close friends, family and colleagues.

Born in Vancouver to Doug and Anne Kincaid, Lynne lived in various places around the world including the UK, Australia, USA, Venezuela, Ireland, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Dubai. She attended UBC and McGill, then settled in Toronto where she met her husband and had her first son. She moved to Ottawa in 1987 where she had her second son and continued to live until her passing.

An avid traveler, Lynne had visited more than 120 countries where she worked with some of the best and most caring colleagues anybody could ask for. She had a prolific career, frequently shattering glass ceilings. Her love for her family, the Tenors, Celine Dion, and travel never wavered.

A celebration of life will be held at Ale – Amberwood Lounge & Eatery in Stittsville on February 18 from 1-5pm, with a toast at 2:30pm. A virtual feed will be available for the toast. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
