We were very saddened to hear of Judy's passing. We were neighbours of Wally and Judy for over 36 years on Brydon Court and valued them as cherished friends. While we have had limited contact with them over the past few years, we often thought back to the great times that we shared over the years. Judy was a wonderful lady, friendly and outgoing and she will be missed. Our sincere condolences go out to both the Atkinson and Gerus families.

I am not there
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there,I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there ,I did not die.

Memories of Judy
For almost sixty years Judy has been like a sister to me.We first met in 1963 when she came home to her parents house in Pasedena Nfld on her annual holiday. At the time I was not only a boarder in the house but had established a rather close relationship with the family. From there our friendship grew and in January 1966 I was back in my home province of BC when on a business to Montreal I made a point to detour to Ottawa to visit Judy. Later after she married Wally they visited my wife Heleena and me at our Orangeville home and stayed with us at our cottage on Georgian Bay.We also stayed with them in Ottawa. I did not see Judy every year but on numerous occasions met her in Pasedena for weddings, anniversaries and funerals. If the occasion called for a church service I would be found in the front row as a family member. I always tried to be the first to call on her birthday and wish her the best at Christmas time. She was a caring, unassuming and sensitive lady.
I will miss her. Rest in Peace. Love Ed
