A heavy heart for Maria and family,
I knew Maria at Riverpark and Timberwalk. Maria always held herself with pride in her life and family. I would meet her when she was going on or coming back from her long walks at Riverpark (no matter what the weather was). She was always smiling. She would talk about her family, life as immigrant and work with zest and pride. Maria was warm and friendly. At Timberwalk she had a strong arm when playing bean toss. She loved dancing during musical events. Maria would light up the room when she came. Maria made such memorable impression on me.
