Dear, dear friend Kathryn. It always felt like a celebration when we got together. We couldn't wait to share and hear about the highlights of each other's lives since we'd last seen each other. There were the concerns, joys and pride regarding our respective children and grandchildren. Then it came to our shared philosophy of life, our love and caring for the natural world, our shared interest and excitement in healing with energy, minerals or plants. While Kathryn and I would jabber away, John and Rich would get on their own tangents regarding our solar and wind systems and other guy stuff. Meanwhile, I so admired her creativity, and she would blow me away with the energy she invested in her creations not only with her pottery and Raku but the props she made for the fund-raising dinners. Besides all that I felt her genuine love. That, I will miss the most and will remember her as I walk in the woods, water a plant or cut up some garlic.
Our hearts are with you, John and with the whole family.

My deepest condolences Kathryn's family! I am so sad to learn of Kathryn's passing and the community of Eganville will deeply miss her and her talent. I will always think of Kathryn every time I go pass the Eganville Tourist Information Centre as her collaborate talent with Genevieve Townsend will live on in our community! She was a great community volunteer and creative soul and her light will shine on here!
