Obituary of Elizabeth ( Betty ) Dawn Comba

Betty in her 86th year passed away on October 1st, 2022. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas Comba. She is survived by her son John Comba (Susie Jahudka, late Karen Deterding) and daughter Dawn Comba. Proud grandma to Wendy Comba (Dan Armstrong), Rachel Cote (Mathieu Cote), Mazdak Karimi (Andie Campbell) and Raha Karimi (Tim Blades) and great-grandma to Theo and Thomas Cote and Azimeh, Halimeh and Isa Karimi. She will be dearly missed by all. The two most important things to Betty were family and community.

Betty was heavily involved in Girl Guides and was a Commissioner for many years. She also was a member of the Quebec Women's Institute in Matagami and later a member of the Burnstown Women's Institute. Some of Betty's greatest accomplishments were in her community service and volunteer work in helping others.

Betty will be remembered as a loving and caring person. Her laugh and good nature will forever be in our minds and hearts.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Glebe Centre in Ottawa for the excellent care they provided to Betty over the years.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 29th from 2 pm to 4 pm at 8 Tunbridge Court, Nepean, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Betty to the Alzheimer's Society, Diabetes Canada or the Glebe Centre.
