We have lost a very dear friend in Xavier....a loving and most pleasant person, always with a smile! We remember with fondness the days in Hyderabad with the family picnics and parties and card games....wonderful memories of the days gone by! You will live on forever in our hearts dear Xavier and be remembered always. Though your sparkling green eyes are closed in this world...they will be forever opened to enjoy the beauty and love of the New World!! Xave, you left so suddenly that it is still hard to believe. Though miles away, was able to say goodbye. You have left behind many wonderful memories which is enshrined in our hearts - the boat trip when Suzie was a baby, the Delhi, Agra, Bangalore tour, your gracious presence at Suzie's wedding & many more . Loved hearing you narrate your exploits , the battles fought during your Airforce days & I take pride in them. Though very painful, the Scriptures say that Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord for henceforth they rest from their labors and their deeds do follow them. ( Revelation 14:13 ). Will miss you, dear.

Uncle Xave lived so far away from us but distance was not a barrier when he had to lend his support at the most important event of my life . The most cherished memory that i have of you, Uncle, is of you being the guest of honor at my wedding. Something which touched all of us a lot. The way you blessed Pintu and me will stay with us life long. A more loving memory of you, Uncle, is making me sing to you' o rose marie' at the dining table in Aripalam. You heard the whole song with your full attention and just loved it. Uncle, your memories will live with us forever. Suzie.

Summer of ‘87! I did not have the luck to meet Xavier after I left Pune however, a distinct memory still remains. I was leaving for Kerala in the summer of 1987 and Xave picked up my suitcase, and guess what happened? The handle broke! Xave immediately found a nylon rope and put his NDA training into action by securing the suitcase skilfully and even fashioned a handle for me. Thank you! To you my dear sister- May the sorrow you feel in your heart be lightened by the love that surrounds you.

So saddened to hear this news today, what a gentleman, good hearted, strong and fun person, and what a life well lived. I remember him, in the sidelines, but always making sure everyone was doing okay, and behaving (in the earlier years).
