Obituary of Fung Yin Cheng

Beloved wife of Shi Yam Pang, dear mother of Andy (Fiona) and Keith (Elsie), and loving grandma of her grandchildren, Fung Yin passed away peacefully on July 26, 2022 after a brief and courageous battle with a sudden illness.

Fung Yin lost her parents and became independent at a very young age. Not only had she never complained about life, she would only express gratitude for what she had. Always so positive.

Fung Yin’s unconditional and unwavering love of her family has passed on to her children and served as guidance in her grandchildren’s upbringing. Fung Yin had very strong work ethics and determination. Clearly shown in how she bravely handled all the hardship and difficult times in all phases of her life. She spent every bit of her energy to make sure her loved ones were well taken care of. Her kindness touched so many people around her, as she always put other people’s feelings and interests first, and asked so little for herself.

We love you so much, ma. We love you so much, grandma. We miss you so dearly that there will always be a void in our lives. We know you are in a better place now, and we know you will continue watching and smiling over us.

A private family service will be held.
