I recently found of her passing and my heart has been heavy since. I worked with her at Protectron back in the early 2000’s. We immediately became friends. Shelly was an amazing person. She had the ability to make you smile even on your darkest days. Few years back she messaged me to ask if I’d be interested in going to Buck Hill with her but we never ended up going. So Shelly, in memory of you, I will visit Buck Hill and I will keep you in my mind while there. I miss you buddy. RIP to a beautiful girl.

I will always remember Shelly’s incredible sense of humour and her ability to make any situation an adventure. We grew up together in Richmond with a small group of friends, but lost touch over the years. Every once in a while she would send a funny message or memory and bring me right back to those days. I’m thinking of her family and friends during the time, I’m so sorry for your enormous loss. ❤️

Shelly was my fiancé, best friend, soulmate and loving step mother to our daughter Gillian. Shelly loved spending time with her family and friends, as well as her dog Brady. Anyone who had the privilege to meet her is suffering a massive loss. Shelly touched the souls of every person she met. Her sense of humour was like no other in this world. My absolute favourite was when she would make fun of me, she somehow laced love in with her beautiful humour. I love you Shelly and can’t wait till the day we meet again and finish off this life together we started. I had the privilege to know what true real love was. I miss you la. Till we meet again. Xo.

Hello there,
I worked with Shelly at the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre. She was a kind and gentle soul. She was so compassionate and was someone I could count on if I needed some support or advice. She was so so very funny, sometimes we would walk past each other in the hallway and just a look, a smile or a roll of the eyes and we would burst into laughter. She will be missed by many. Growing up on Richland Drive is where I made my first friendships. (Shelley, Angela, John and Dave). We were inseparable. Spent many many weekends hanging out by the creek at our “fort”! We shared all of our secrets and were there for each other, always. As we grew up, we went separate ways..but the bond that was made so many years ago, has remained a solid core memory for me. Those years, the innocent years, before life got real….will always be in my heart. I will always remember Shelly’s laugh, her adventurous nature, and her ability to turn any situation, fun!
My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends.
The world lost one hell of a beautiful soul. Rest easy friend.
