How simply devastated I am to have to write this. Erikka, you were an absolutely unique beautiful soul. Who will never fully know how much you impacted my life or how you truly were my best friend. I will always think about all of our adventures, big and small. From witch hunting in Wilno, to fine dining downtown. I will miss your sense of humor and softness, your laugh and tiny voice you sometimes got. I knew you as such a strong woman who always found a way to persevere and I will always admire your dedication to yourself and those who you loved. You loved magic, you loved animals, you loved makeup and music. You always just loved. I am so so sorry this has happened. I know you, above all else would be devestated by all of this, you were only getting started. All I can do now is make sure you know that you were loved, and your life mattered. You made a difference in the world and left your mark. I have 100s or 1000s of pictures but I really think this shows the real Erika, shining beautifully in all of her good qualities. I'm so sorry for your loss of your beautiful daughter. Erika and I worked together at Mermaid pools for many years. Over the years, we became good friends and shared many fun memories together. There was never a dull moment as she made work fun and enjoyable!

I met Erikka in the later part of my high school years and she was one of the few people I met in high school who understood me. I always got happy to run into her around Barrhaven after graduation and let her know how life is going and vice versa.
She was always my cheerleader (especially after I graduated from the Library Technician Program in 2015) and she always rooted for me to get into the education system with my diploma as she knew of my passion for the education system.
This year I made it in and she was so happy for me. We were hoping to see each other this summer at some point for me to talk about it with her. She even shared a random school library thing to my FB wall a few weeks ago saying it reminded her of me.
During COVID, I found our friendship got stronger and closer. We would be there for each other and the like (I got her a gift off of my sister-in-law's Etsy store a few weeks ago that reminded me so much of her when she was struggling with her mental health).
Christmas Holidays of 2021 when we originally wanted to see each other in person but then I got anxious because of COVID being on the rise and me working in the education system and not wanting to risk infecting the students, she was very understanding and we saw each other in a video call instead.
Throughout the last few years, I noticed we have a lot of similar stances and views on stuff so I was very comfortable of sharing mine with her. Hell, I was comfortable of being myself around her.
Erikka, our friendship will live on in my heart. You will never be forgotten. I will carry our memories in my heart. I hope you can watch over me and be proud of everything I do from this day forward.
I miss you already my friend.....you will never ever be forgotten, I promise.
