To my dearest Granny. I will miss you. I was so happy to be in touch with you the last couple years. You were my gift. Even though you were 2000 km away most of my life you had a place in my heart always. You made me laugh and in te same breath you would kick Todd,Randy, Gord, and Rodney's ass. And yes argue drive was the place to be good bad or otherwise. You made Ottawa feel like my home. Well give grumps and Les a good kick for me. Thanks for the memories

Ivy was my mothers dearest friend for over 68 years. They shared the best of times and where there for each other through thick and thin. Argue drive parties where legendary with the Bourgeau’s and Gensell’s with pictures to prove it. God they had fun.
They kept in touch and continued to visit ( thank you Deb ) for the remainder of their lives. I will always have a special place in my heart for ivy and can hear her wonderful laugh light up the room.
Rest In Peace and hug mom and dad for me. Bless up.

Aunt Ivy was an amazing woman. She had heart, resilience, grit and humour. We made us all feel welcome in the family and we all loved her. I hope she is sipping a G&T and kicking her heels up a little where ever she is, she earned it. Love to you all, we’ll be thinking of you.

Aunt Ivy was an extraordinary human being. She meant so much to so many people because of her kindness, compassion, sense of humour and love for life. Thank you to the Gensell Family for sharing her with us. She was an important person in my life, and many others. We are all better having known her. Sharing our Christmas together in 2019, she lived life to the fullest!

My condolences to Trina, Debbie, Gord and Rodney and their families. Aunt Ivy was special to each of us for so many ways. Her unconditional love and support throughout time was unmatched. Her grace and inspiration always made me feel hopeful. Most off all, she left filled me with wonderful memories, words of wisdom that will withstand test of time and comical memories of her remarkable wit. I was truly blessed for having her in my life. Until we met again!

She was so much more than an Aunt. She volunteered for many years to not only support my efforts but those of the community. Our lives will be so empty without her but it is such a comfort to know that she was ready for this journey and now with those she loved that went before her.
