Aglaia Georgitsos

Obituary of Aglaia Georgitsos

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Aglaia Georgitsos on June 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 89. Loving daughter of Demitrios Sourges and Anastasia Sourges and sister to Nick Sourges and Peter Sourges who predeceased her. Beloved wife of Panagiotis (Peter) Georgitsos for 65 years. Devoted mother to Nicolas (Kelly), Stacey, and Jimmy (Janik) and cherished Yiayia of Olivia, Zachary, and Mateo. Aglaia will be fondly remembered by her brother Angelo Sourges (Julie) and her cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Aglaia will always be remembered for her golden hands in the kitchen and her unwavering hospitality, generosity, and kindness. Her happiness and joy in life came from spending time with her family and the love and adoration she had for her three grandchildren. We would like to extend a special thank you to her cousins Fay Papadakos and Elias Sourtzis and the caregivers at Garden Terrace, notably Myrna, Linda, Amanda, Matthew, and Haya.
