To Mabel's family,
Linda and I want to extend our sincere condolences to you all on the passing of Mabel. She (and Walter) were wonderful neighbours to our family at 70 Harris Place. I often remember lively conversations across the road and seeing the incredible landscape that your mother curated and cared for. I'm sure she will be missed by all.

To Mabel's loving family
I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to you all on the passing of Mabel, a most exceptional woman. Your parents were backyard neighbours of my parents, Frank and Veronica Libon, who lived at 74 David Drive. This was thanks to your dad, Walter, giving my dad "heads up" about a lovely bungalow for sale in 1965.They enjoyed 37 wonderful years there. As a teenager, Mabel occasionaly called on me to babysit or to help her prepare for one of many extended family get togethers. I learned to appreciate what went into orchestrating these wonderful events: the decor, the food but most of all the warm hospitality she exuded. She was a "hostess with the mostess"! Her attention to detail was also evident in the garden which she used as a living canvass. Her creativity seemed to know no bounds and was an inspiration to others including myself. Our family is deeply grateful for having known Mabel (and your dad). May you each embrace a piece of her legacy (generousity, kindness, thoughtfulness, amazing sense of humour, creativity...) to share with others. Hugs to all.

Christine,
Thank you for your Kind words. Mom and Dad loved your parents and felt very fortunate to have you and your family as neighbours. Mom did depend on you to babysit quite often and I can say with confidence, you did your job well.
Mom was a very special homemaker and enjoyed sharing her talents with everyone. We will miss her.

Dear Dennis, Carolyn, Ron, Debbie, Gary and your families. We cannot tell you how sorry we are for your loss. Mabel was a very special lady to so many people. She lit up room with style, grace and her amazing smile. Mabel was full of compliments and wasn't shy to offer advice. We are privileged to have known her for so long. Everyone who knew her was aware that family meant everything to Mabel and she made everyone fell like family.
We pray the special memories you all share will bring you comfort today and in the days to come.
Thinking of you all
Paul and Jolene
