Obituary of Ron Haerkens

Ron (Marinus) Haerkens

1956 – 2022

 

The Haerkens Family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of our brother Ron due to heart complications on Tuesday, May 17^th, 2022. Ron was 65 years old. He was a loving Brother to his four Brothers and Sister, Bill (Dianne), Wilma deceased (Remyngton), Mike (Louise), Joe and John. Dear son of the late Johannes and Michelina.   Proud Uncle of Alison, Sarah, Jake and Emily.  Great Uncle to Hazel. Honorary Uncle to Jake and Jackie.

 

Ron will be sorely missed by family and friends.

 

He retired last summer on his 65^th birthday.

 

Ron was very proud of his childhood years on the Dairy Farm.  He spent his career in the restaurant and moving business.  Ron spent his entire life in the West End of Ottawa.

 

Ron was a very positive, happy go lucky guy, always with a smile.  He enjoyed drawing and collecting.

 

Ron’s life will be celebrated at a private family memorial.
