I had the privilege of being a part of Shirley's life and her family for 25+ years. She was a woman with a heart of gold, but took no shenanigans, ever. Her strength, intelligence and warmth, were never ending, whether you were family or not. Her accomplishments were impressive and, quite frankly amazing, given so many of the challenges she faced on the many roads she travelled. There were no # moments, just life, real go after it and get it life. I will always admire her for the person she was and the legacy of her life she has left behind. Rest in peace Shirley.

To the Lawrence family,
I fondly remember taking pottery classes from Shirley at the Nepean Visual Arts Centre about 20 years ago. She was a wonderful teacher and an amazing woman. My condolences to all of you.

We had the pleasure of playing pickleball with and against Shirley for several years. She was a little powerhouse who always had a smile on her face and was quick to hand out compliments on a shot well done! We will miss her enthusiasm and great attitude on and off the courts.

Shirley was an inspiration to all of us at the Club, remarkably ageless in her fierce determination, endless stamina, and infectious enthusiasm for the sport. The Club won't be the same without her -- we all miss her dearly.
