Obituary of Doris Inglis
Doris Inglis (nee McNabb) passed away peacefully, in hospital after a brief illness on April 22 in her 85th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Allan Inglis. They were united in marriage for 60 years. Devoted mother of Robert (Bonnie) and Albert (Kim). Cherished Grandmother of Jennifer (Andrew), Lisa (Jake), Kara and Erin (Charlie). Great-Grandmother to Alena, Greyson, Camden and Kielyn. She will be greatly missed by her special niece, Louise. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Grace and Laura. Doris had great pride in her family and loved joining in all family gatherings. She was so proud of her grandchildren and loved to share stories about them with people she met. Doris was calm, kind, generous, genuine and baked an amazing apple pie! Doris prioritised family and friends. Doris and Allan had many mutual interests, including antiques. Over the years they spent many weekends together travelling the area visiting flea markets and antique shops. Together, they travelled to many interesting places including the Arctic and Alaska. Special thanks to the Court at Barrhaven where Doris moved over a year ago. Here, she met many new friends and enjoyed participating in social events. We thank the Ottawa Hospital and Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital for their compassionate care and support. You are forever in our Hearts. We love you. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Osteoporosis Society Funeral service to take place Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel – 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa.
