Obituary of Edna Harwood

Edna Harwood (nee Fraser)

Passed away peacefully on April 15, 2022 at the age of 98.  Beloved wife of the late Patrick Harwood R.C.A.F.  Loving mother to Laura de Bellis of Toronto and Linda Chadwick of Ottawa. Cherished Grandmother to Kate, Lisa, Sara and David. Edna was a proud Maritimer from Sydney, Nova Scotia but called Ottawa home. She worked at Ogilvy’s on Rideau Street before moving to Carleton Heights in the 1950’s where she made lifelong friendships.  In their retirement Edna and Pat worked as volunteers for Guide Dogs for the Blind where they opened up their home to many dogs.

A memory is kept

Of one we loved

And will never forget”

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A private family service will be held at a later date and interment to follow at the Pinecrest Cemetery.
